About me

Hi! I’m Jessica Maloney, an educator and learning coach with a passion for helping students become lifelong learners while developing independence and accountability. Originally from Los Angeles, I now live in Chapel Hill, NC with my husband and two children.

I bring a diverse background to my work — from office and human resources management to retail management, where I focused on hiring and training — before dedicating the last 17 years to education. I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Design, and I currently teach second grade, emphasizing executive-functioning skills that help students stay organized, focused, and confident in their learning.

My goal is to empower students not only to succeed academically but also to build the skills and mindset they need to thrive in school and beyond. Every student has the potential to be independent, accountable, and motivated — and I love guiding them toward that success.
